NOTE:

The 2026 quota allocated to Gold/Fully Open Access journals was exhausted on 12 August 2026.

• If articles for which an open access application was submitted to TÜBİTAK in 2026 and which are currently “Under Review” are accepted between 12 August and 31 December 2026, open access support cannot be provided under the agreement, as the 2026 quota has been exhausted. The article will automatically be directed to the “Author Pays” option.
• If articles for which an open access application was submitted to TÜBİTAK in 2026 and which are currently “Under Review” are accepted in 2027, they may benefit from the agreement, provided that quota is available and the post-acceptance author workflow is completed.
• If articles submitted to a journal in 2026 and currently “Under Review” are accepted in 2027, an application may be submitted to benefit from the agreement after completing the post-acceptance author workflow.
• For articles published in Gold/Fully Open Access journals, whether or not an open access application has previously been submitted to TÜBİTAK, the agreement may be used only if quota is available at the time the article is accepted and the post-acceptance author workflow is completed.

For Gold/Fully Open Access journals, submitting an open access application to TÜBİTAK and receiving approval at the manuscript submission stage does not constitute a quota reservation. The approval granted by TÜBİTAK is a conditional approval. In other words, it becomes effective only if quota is available when the article is accepted and the post-acceptance author workflow is completed.

The 2026 quota allocated to Hybrid journals was exhausted on 15 September 2026

• Open access applications cannot be submitted for articles accepted between 15 September and 31 December 2026.
• For Hybrid journals, applications to benefit from the agreement may be submitted only after the article has been accepted.
• For articles accepted in 2027, an application may be submitted to benefit from the agreement after completing the post-acceptance author workflow, provided that the 2027 quota is available.
