Click - Collect
A user who wants to borrow a material that has already been borrowed by someone else or is available (in the storage/depot) can place a hold on it on their own behalf either by accessing the library website online or by coming to the library and informing the staff at the circulation desk. If a borrowed book has been placed on hold, the lending of the material depends on the return date of the user who currently has it. The first borrower may return the material at the end of the loan period or earlier. However, if for any reason the user fails to return the held material, the library cannot be held responsible. When the held material is returned, an e-mail is sent to the next user in the queue informing them that the material is being held for them and that they can pick it up. A held material that has arrived back at the library must be collected from the circulation desk within 7 days. Materials not collected within this period are returned to the shelves. If an available (in-storage) item is placed on hold, it is retrieved from the storage to the hold/request shelf within approximately 2 hours, and can be borrowed via the shelf-check device or from a librarian.
