In these trainings, participants will have the opportunity to:
· Understand the general structure, interface, and basic usage logic of the LexiQamus platform,
· Perform searches in the Ottoman Turkish dictionary database using different spellings and observe how the results are listed,
· See how search options such as "similar spelling" (fuzzy) and "sounds-like" work through examples,
· Examine how results are grouped under headings such as "exact matches" and "partial matches",
· Follow how inter-word connections, derivatives, and related forms are presented on the platform,
· See how the search and browsing capabilities offered by the platform can be used to overcome reading difficulties encountered in handwritten and printed Ottoman Turkish texts,
· Experience the features added with new updates.
The training series is open to all researchers working in related fields, primarily History, Literature, Theology, and Linguistics.
The trainings will be held twice a week for one month and will be conducted by Dr. Ahmet Abdullah Saçmalı, founder of LexiQamus. You can attend the session that best suits your needs thanks to the various day and time options.
